Two Children
Two children sitting side by side
In clothes our mothers made with love,
Our families taught us how Christ had died
We didn't have much and didn't see the tears our mothers cried,
praying that our souls in him would abide.
Time came and went, we are adults now,
and I watch as your tears fall,
All you have to do is reach out, and know,
it wont be long, you will be standing tall.
You say you like your life as it is now,
I used to say the same thing too,
But the Fathers' happiness I truly did miss
and I want you to feel the way I do.
You see I'm praying for you,
and although we're miles apart,
i knew you were hurting too
for the Lord laid you on my heart.
Tears fall down my face as I write these words to you,
and I pray for the Father's embrace
to make your heart and life new.

Emotion
Flashback of emotion
Tender defeat
Too much commotion
Cant stand on my feet.
Outstanding obligations
More then I can bare
No tender relations
No one left to hear.
Help is what I am crying out for
Gentle Embrace
Christ opens the door
To Jesus Saving Grace.
Emotion turns to comfort
No more defeat
Jesus takes upon him the hurt
and gently lifts me to my feet.
Arise and walk my dear one
It's time for the race
Got to work till our day is done,
Till we look upon the saviors face.
